George Brown College’s Culinary Skills is a free, supportive program designed to help those who face mental health or addiction challenges reach their education and employment goals. We'll prepare you for entry-level work in Toronto's food service industry through a combination of small-group learning, job coaching support, and experiential work opportunities.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Applicants must have have one of the following

    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
    • Mental health and/or addictions history
    • Mature student status (19 years of age or older)
    • Application Form

    Intake process involves all of the following:

    1. Application completion
    2. Academic assessment
    3. Skills assessment
    4. Interview
